From there you can get undisturbed view to the Aegean Sea and the close islands of Cyclades, like Santorini and Ios. The beaches of Folegandros are quiet and can be accessed by bus or boat from the port.

The island of Folegandros is one of the Greek islands of the Aegean Sea and it belongs to the Cyclades islands group. The villages of Folegandros island distinguish for the way they have kept their traditional architecture and character. The houses have typical Cycladic style with whitewashed walls and colorful windows and doors. Streets are paved and narrow, while many white churches with blue domes are scattered here and there. One of the most impressive places to visit in Chora is Kastro, the Venetian quarter that constitutes the oldest spot in Chora. Folegandros island has some very beautiful beaches with crystal water, such as Agali and Ambeli. Enjoy local homemade dishes in the many restaurants around the island. The impressive landscape of Folegandros with the rugged cliffs and rock formations make for a nice, unforgettable setting.

Karavostasi, the main port of the island, is a convenient place to stay during your Folegandros holidays. This port concentrates the majority of accommodation, including family apartments and cozy studios. There are also few large hotels on the island, mostly found around Chora, the capital village. However, the largest part of Folegandros island has simple, traditional venues. For a more secluded stay, there are few beach studios in Agali.
