Ormylia is a small town of 3200 inhabitants which is located between Kassandra and Sithonia in Halkidiki. Ormylia’s distance from Thessaloniki is 87 km and the distance from Polygyros, the capital of Halkidiki, is 27 km. The inhabitants of Ormylia work in tourism and agriculture (especially with olive trees). The nearest tourist resort in Ormylia is Psakoudia, which combines the green of the pines and the blue of the clear sea.
In Ormylia tourists can visit the churches of Saint George and Saint Dimitrios which are built on a mountainside. Also, visitors can admire an old windmill built in the hills before the entrance of the town.
