Serifos island distinguishes for the Cycladic architecture and the lovely beaches. Located only 2 hours by ferry from Athens, Serifos is a wonderful place with long history and relaxing beaches. As it is not open to mass tourism, this place keeps an authentic atmosphere. The main village is Chora, a picturesque settlement for walking around, especially in the evenings, when all tourists return from the beaches and head to Chora for a night out. Livadaki, Agios Sostis, Megalo Livadi and Ganema are among the most beautiful beaches in Serifos, some organized and others secluded.

The island of Serifos is one of the Greek islands of the Aegean Sea and it belongs to the Cyclades islands group. This is a quiet and remote place with few relaxing things to do. The villages on Serifos island have traditional character. Built according to the famous Cycladic architecture with whitewashed houses, paved streets and windmills, they provide nice places for strolling around. Particularly Chora is among the most picturesque villages of Cyclades, located on the slopes of a hill and offering fabulous view to the Aegean Sea. With a coastline of 81 km long, Serifos island offers many beaches with crystal water. Organized or secluded, sandy or pebbled, all beaches are ideal to enjoy private and relaxed holidays in Serifos. Among the most interesting sightseeing are the Old Mines above Megalo Livadi and the Monastery of Taxiarhes on the northern side of the island.

Hotels in Serifos Greece are mostly found around the port and at the nearby beach of Livadi, providing easy access to the limited tourist facilities on the island. Some rooms are also found in Chora. Accommodation there mainly consists of quiet, cozy studios, traditional apartments and rooms with simple facilities. Serifos holidays generally keep a relaxing style, away from large crowds.
