A place totally off the beaten track, Tilos island in Dodecanese has totally secluded atmosphere and nice beaches. This is a place for alternative holidays, as free camping and nudism are pretty popular there. Almost all activities in Tilos are concentrated in Livadia, the port village, where most studios, taverns and mini-markets are found. In the centre of the island is an old, abandoned village called Mikro Chorio. Holidays in Tilos can be combined with other islands like Kos, Rhodes or Nisyros.

The island of Tilos, in Greece, is one of the Greek islands of the Aegean Sea and it belongs to the Dodecanese islands group. Tilos island has two main villages, Megalo Chorio and Livadia. Megalo Chorio is the capital of the island and has been built on the slopes of a mountain. Livadia is the main port and this is where most tourist facilities and things to do can be found. In the centre of Tilos island, there are the remains of Mikro Chorio, a ghost village today that was gradually abandoned in the 1950s when its inhabitants moved to Livadia. Since the island is not touristic developed, all beaches of the island are peaceful and relaxing. They are known for the clean water and picturesque ambience. Most of them are not organized, except for Livadia beach which has some umbrellas and sunbeds. The rest of the beaches are totally secluded and partly naturists. They can be accessed on foot or with the small local bus from Livadia. Generally be prepared for long walks during your Tilos holidays.

Almost all hotels in Tilos are concentrated in the port of Livadia. Accommodation on Tilos Greece is very limited, with no large hotels or resorts. Simple studios, self-catering apartments and cozy rooms are available for your Tilos holidays, providing access to the limited tourist facilities and the only organized beach on the island.
