The Acropolis Museum is an archaeological museum located in Athens on the archeological site of Acropolis. It is considered as one of the major archaeological museums in Athens and ranks among the most important museums of the world. It opened to the public on June 21, 2009. Nearly 4,000 objects are exhibited over an area of 14,000 m². The Acropolis Museum is filled with ongoing archaeological excavations and contains valuable ruins.
